The JVP Teachers app is a management tool designed for internal school administrative use. We do not collect personal data from the general public. Data processed by the app includes:
Teacher Login Credentials: Securely provided by the school administration for authentication purposes.
Student Academic Data: Marks, exam results, and academic performance records entered by teachers.
Academic Materials: Educational notes, PDFs, and classroom resources uploaded by teachers.
Notebook Submission Records: Tracking data regarding student homework/notebook checking status.
Library Transaction Data: Records of books issued, returned, and inventory status linked to student or teacher profiles.
Syllabus & Blueprints: Academic planning content.
3. Device Permissions
To facilitate specific administrative features, the JVP Teachers app requires access to certain device capabilities. Access is requested at runtime and can be managed in your device settings.
Camera Access: The app requires permission to access your device's camera for the Library Management module.
Purpose: To scan QR codes affixed to library books and Student/Teacher ID cards for quick issuing and returning of books.
File & Storage Access: The app requires permission to access your device's storage for the File Manager feature.
Purpose: To allow teachers to select and upload educational documents, such as notes, PDFs, and blueprints, directly from their device to the school's digital portal.
Privacy: The app only accesses files explicitly selected by the user for upload. No other personal photos, videos, or documents are scanned or collected.
4. How We Use Information
The information collected is used solely for the operational requirements of Jamna Vidyapeeth School:
To authenticate authorized teaching staff.
To maintain digital records of student attendance and academic progress.
To facilitate the sharing of educational resources (notes, PDFs) via the File Manager.
To track and monitor the submission of student notebooks and homework.
To manage library operations, including tracking inventory and facilitating the issue/return of books via QR code scanning.
To facilitate the management of syllabus and examination blueprints.
5. Data Storage and Security
We take the security of school data seriously. The app utilizes industry-standard security measures:
Secure Database: All data (including academic records, library logs, and uploaded files) is stored on a secure cloud infrastructure (Supabase) with strict access controls.
Authentication: Access is restricted to authorized personnel via secure login credentials.
Encryption: Data transmission between the app and the server is encrypted using HTTPS/SSL protocols.
Only authorized teachers and administrators of Jamna Vidyapeeth have access to modify the data relevant to their specific duties.
6. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell, trade, or rent any personal identification information to third parties.
Data is strictly used for internal school management. However, we utilize third-party services to support the application's infrastructure:
Supabase: Used as the backend database and authentication provider. Please refer to Supabase's privacy policy for details on their data security practices.
7. Children's Privacy
While this application manages data related to students (children under 18), the application itself is not intended for use by children. The exclusive users of this application are adult teaching staff employed by Jamna Vidyapeeth.
All student data entered into the system (including attendance, marks, and library records) is done so by authorized school personnel in compliance with school regulations and educational record-keeping standards.
